Booking Information - 2008

Step 1

Decide on what course you would like to study ie. General Language, Business Language, Exam preparation etc. You will find detailed information about each course on this website and staff at NSL will be happy to give you advice so that you make the right decision.

Step 2

Complete the application form and send to NSL, with 2 passport sized photographs (you can give these to us on the first day of your course if you are applying by e-mail). Please see www.ukvisas.gov.uk "Do I need a visa?" to check if you need a visa to study in the UK.

Step 3

NSL will contact you to clarify any details. You will be given a placement test to assess your level. Only then will your application be considered.

Step 4

Once your application has been accepted you will be required to pay a deposit of £330 plus a total registration fee of £60 (£35 course only, no accommodation) to secure your place on the course. - English Courses Only
Foreign language course deposits vary.

This can be paid by direct bank transfer (please ask NSL for details - all bank charges must be paid - please ask your bank) or by cheque made payable to "NSL". We will soon have credit card facilities - please ask NSL.

Step 5

On receipt of the deposit NSL will send you an acceptance letter and invoice. The acceptance letter may be used for visa requirements. You must pay the full amount on the invoice within 28 days. If you wish to pay in instalments this must be agreed in writing by an authorised officer of the Northern School of Languages.

Step 6

Once the above steps have all been completed you will be sent a student welcome pack. This will contain details about your host family, directions to the school, and what to do on your first day.
