IELTS Preparation Course Content
The IELTS exam consists of 4 sections - reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the best possible result in each section of the exam.
You will become familiar with the format of the exam:
- Listening - 30 minutes
- 40 questions, 4 sections
- Reading - 60 minutes
- 40 questions, 3 reading passages
- Writing - 60 minutes
- Task 1: 20 minutes - 150 words minimum - Describe information from graph/table/ chart/diagram
- Task 2: 40 minutes - 250 words minimum - Respond to a point of view or argument or problem
- Speaking - 11-14 minutes
- 3 parts - oral interview between candidate and examiner
Our IELTS courses are taught by experienced teachers, using course books and supplementary material. Students will be required to take regular practice exams as part of their training.
Please be aware that our IELTS preparation courses are exam focussed and are therefore aimed at improving students' exam technique and becoming familiar with the format of the IELTS exam. You should not take one of these courses if you are looking at improving your General English for everyday use and do not want to take the exam.
