When I arrived I could not speak or understand anything in English and I was not confident about my English skills at all. I started at pre-intermediate level and I felt really comfortable because the teachers were very helpful, patient and well prepared to teach foreigners. While I progressed through the courses I gained more confidence, learned more and improved my abilities.
Personally, one of the most important things that helped me is the atmosphere in the school. The staff are friendly, helpful and well prepared for class. The school also organises extra activities out of class integrating students and stimulating every English skill we need as students.

When I went to the NSL for the first time, I immediately thought it was the right place for me. I was a little bit nervous about my IELTS exam, but Nick and all NSL staff kindness and great disposal made me feel at home. Nick's classes were very helpful and useful for my exam. I had 121 Spanish lessons with Tammy and it was most enjoyable and effective at the time as we approached it in different ways. I like variety and we used real life situations to explore how I would use Spanish giving me relevant vocabulary. Tammy is a lovely person and a great teacher. I could also see how great she was at running the language school itself. I would highly recommend her services.

Studying in the Northern School of Languages for 10 months I was given the opportunity to improve my English. I have a really great time in this school, I met a lot of people from different countries which helped me to improve my English. Teachers are very friendly and always willing to help you with any enquires. They also prepared me for the Ielts exams and I achieved a 6.5 score.
