General Language Course

Course Aims

  • To provide a range of skills needed to cope in a foreign language speaking environment
  • To practice the 4 skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, with emphasis on oral communication
  • To develop vocabulary and grammar skills
  • To improve your ability to communicate in your chosen language
  • To increase your confidence in the day-to-day use of the language

Duration

Minimum 12 weeks (24 hours - 2 hours per week)

Each level can be completed in 3 terms (36 weeks)

Spanish Beginners - Monday evenings starting January 7th.

French Beginners- Monday evenings starting January 7th.

Italian Beginners - Wednesday evenings starting January 9th.

Entry Levels

Entry Levels Entry Requirements
Beginner (A1) No previous language knowledge
Elementary (A2.1) Completion of A1 level course
Pre-Intermediate (A2.2 Completion of A2.1 level course
Intermediate (B1.1) Completion of A2.2 level course

If you are not able to provide evidence of completion of the appropriate level course, you will be required to take NSL's placement test before enrolment on a course (this does not apply to A1 level courses)
